Workshops
During my workshops, you will create your own unique functional basket or woven sculptural piece. Nourishing food, real coffee/teas are provided.
I will take you on a tour of my 1 acre garden where you will learn about identifying plants, gathering of plant materials and, how to prepare them for weaving.
Gift Vouchers can be purchased for a unique and memorable gift.
Private group workshops and special events are available either in my studio or I can come to you. Design your own tailor made creative workshop for any occasion. Choose your own date, time and creative project. Ideal for a girls night out, birthday, hens celebration, work mates, team building or end of year get together. Min 6 people

Woven Earth Women's creative retreat
Cath and Pam (studio108) are very excited to be able to create this beautiful offering together. We know how important creativity and being in nature is for our own well being and we hope you can join us for this nourishing time to spend a few days together nurturing ourselves exploring our creative expression with plants and clay, nature, yoga, journaling, eco-printing and more.

Exclusive access to the entire 5 acre property bordering the beautiful Fred Jacoby Park.
WHAT TO EXPECT: A safe and supportive space to explore your creativity and nurture yourself. It’s ok to allow ourselves time, space, nature, the breath, healing, support, joy and connections for our creative play to flow and be nurtured.
FOOD: Will be nourishing and delicious with snacks, lunches, dinners and desserts lovingly prepared for you.
Any dietary needs can be catered for.
You will need to supply your own breakfast, this allows for a little more ease and flexibility for your mornings.
Tea/coffee and milk is provided in each of the kitchens in cottages and the main house kitchen.

Twined Earrings

Create your very own pair of handmade earrings or wall necklace of several woven pieces joined together.
Random Weave with Bangalow Palm Inflorescence
Create a stunning sculptural and functional platter or basket made from the inflorescence (flowering stems) of a Bangalow palm.
Learn how to weave your own handcrafted bird basket using locally foraged and garden plant materials while discovering simple nest-making techniques inspired by nature.
Participants will also make a collection of small clay eggs using WA clay. We will shape and burnish our handmade eggs to create beautifully smooth, organic finishes inspired by real bird eggs.
Learn stitched basketry techniques using foraged materials like palm sheaths to create your own unique sculptural vessel. Design a wall pocket or wearable pouch, then craft a natural fibre strap using ancient string-making methods.
Delve into the world of weaving with foraged natural materials on a simple handmade loom. Create a wall hanging made from foraged natural materials and gifts from nature. Explore making patterns and textures using different materials and weaving styles.
Twined Baskets from the Garden @ Bellevue Cottage

Create a beautiful and functional twined basket made from foraged garden plants.
Neolithic Weaving
Learn this ancient form of weaving using strappy leaf plants. During this 4 hour workshop you will learn the braiding technique to create either a vessel or sculptural form.
Previous weaving experience is required, this technique is a little tricky for beginners but please get in touch to discuss if you’re not sure.
Twined Sculptural Pendant
Create a striking sculptural art piece made from plant fibers, using paired twining techniques to bring the form to life.

Learn how to weave using paired twining technique, choose if you would like to make a sculptural vessel, basket or wall art.
Looping and String Making

Join us for an evening of learning the ancient art of Looping. You will learn the simple looping technique to create a sweet little basket or string pouch.
We will use various types of strings and sustainable fibres to create with as well as learning how to make your own string/cordage
This workshop will teach you the techniques and skills to create both functional and sculptural art pieces.
Circular Wall Art

Create your very own unique woven wall art using forage plant fibres, fabric, bark, rope or anything else that your creative imagination calls for!
Random Weave with Vines
Stay tuned!
Create a stunning sculptural or functional art piece using foraged vines. For this workshop some of the invasive vines used are in fact helping the ecosystem by removing these introduced species from local bushland areas.
Sculptural Palm Sheath Vessels
Create a freestanding sculptural vessel with Bangalow Palm leaf sheath. You will learn how to prepare the material, cut, hand-stitch and adorn with found natural treasures into a beautiful form to showcase in your home or to give as a gift to that special someone.
